An Apprenticeship is a perfect choice if you want to continue your studies and develop your skills, knowledge and behaviours in a specific industry, while also earning a salary in full-time employment; kickstarting your long-term career path.
This apprenticeship supports you to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed for complex management accounting tasks such as managing budgets and evaluating financial performance as well as optional specialist units including business tax, external auditing and credit control. After this course, you will be well placed to further progress professionally and academically, and may wish to pursue chartered accountant status.
This Apprenticeship is expected to take 18-24 months throughout which you will be earning a wage.
The final stage of your Apprenticeship is the End Point Assessment (EPA) which you will be put forward for once your employer and the College agree you are ready.
While completing this qualification you will cover higher accounting tasks including drafting financial statements, managing budgets and evaluating financial performance, as well as optional specialist units including Business Tax, personal Tax, Auditing Assurance, cash& financial management and cash and debt management. These are taught sessions on campus one day a week which are then assessed via online exams.
The EPA has two elements:

Submission of a portfolio of evidence gathered from the workplace. You must then reflect on the portfolio through a written statement or professional discussion.
Upon successful completion of your EPA you will receive your Apprenticeship Certificate as well as your AAT Professional Diploma in Accounting Level 4 qualification.
