The aim of this course is to enable adults to return to study and increase their career prospects, or to progress onto a Level 3 course. You will study for 3 hours a week, for 12 weeks, with optional start dates in September and February.
Where appropriate, it is possible to study GCSE English Language, GCSE Maths or Functional Skills Literacy and Numeracy in addition to the course.
Students should expect to commit approximately 3 hours per week of independent study to the course.

This course can lead onto an additional 12-week Extended Certificate in Health & Social Care Professionals, which takes place at Lancaster & Morecambe College.
Upon completion of this course students will also have the opportunity to move into entry level jobs within the Health and Social Careindustry, roles may include:

Palliative Care Assistant

Applicants will complete informal assessments in Maths and English to demonstrate that they are working at a level of GCSE grade D/3. You will have a commitment to study including good attendance, punctuality & behaviour.
All applicants will attend an interview.
This course costs £127.00, including exam fees.
You may be eligible for free study if you are 23 or under and this is your first full Level 2 or 3 course. Alternatively, if you are unemployed, receiving an eligible benefit, and taking the course to help you find employment.
