This qualification is designed for those who wish to specialise in advanced treatments from manual therapies such as advanced massage to technical therapies such as face and body treatments. All these treatments are popular and widely available in the industry. The advanced beauty therapist will design and implement bespoke treatments for clients, work independently and have the potential to supervise others.
You will attend college one day per week and be salon based four days per week.
The courses is 70% practical and 30% theory, and upon successful completion you will gain a Level 3 Diploma for Advanced Beauty Therapists.
Units of study during the apprentriceship will be:
Consult, assess, plan and prepare for beauty treatments
Implement and maintain safe hygienic and effective working practices
Implement and maintain operational working practices to include business, retail and promotional activities
Provide body electrical therapy treatments
Provide facial electrical therapy treatments
Provide body massage treatments using advanced techniques
Course activities often include trips and guest speakers who will come into College to demonstrate new techniques and products.
You will attend college one day per week and be salon based four days per week.
Upon completion of this Apprenticeship, you may choose to progress onto full time work in the Beauty Therapy industry.

You must have a Level 2 Beauty Therapy or Level 2 Beauty Professional Apprenticeship PLUS grade C/4 or higher in BOTH English and Maths.
You must also have enthusiasm for the subject area, a commitment to study (e.g. attendance, punctuality & behaviour) and be able to work independently.
