This course offers the opportunity to learn the skills necessary for employment in a Beauty Therapy profession. You will learn techniques which are in demand from employers in the Beauty Therapy industry.
This course has been designed to support you through a Level 2 qualification in Beauty Therapy.

Salon Reception Duties
Course activities will be tailored around the standards within the City and Guilds units, to give you a clear understanding of the subject and inform you of improvements to be made found through tutor observation and feedback. You will be assessed on your practical performance, coursework, assignment submissions and online exams.
You will be in College one evening a week which will involve a mix of practical and theory classes tailored to suit the needs of the course. There will be home study involved.
We offer several activities on the course including trips, guest speaker visits and additional one-day training opportunities including spray tanning, ear-piercing and lash lifts.
Guest Speakers invited throughout the year include Steiner on board Spa and Eve Taylor (beauty products).
Students may choose to continue their studies within College by progressing onto one of the following courses:
Level 3 Beauty Therapy FT or PT
Level 2 Hair & Media Make-up FT
Level 3 Theatrical & Media Make-up FT
Upon completion of this course students will also have the opportunity to move into entry level jobs within the Beauty Therapy industry, roles may include:
Beauty Therapist
Beauty Consultant
Nail Technician
Salon Receptionist

There is no formal entry criteria for this course, just a commitment to your studies.
The qualification is suitable for anyone already employed in Beauty and Hairdressing establishments or anyone who wishes to acquire expertise in this area. As you will be working with members of the public you need to be enthusiastic, confident and enjoy working with people on a daily basis. To remain on the course you will need to show your commitment to the course by having excellent attendance, punctuality and behaviour.
This course costs £424.00, including exam fees.
You may be eligible for free study if you are 23 or under and this is your first full Level 2 or 3 course. Alternatively, if you are unemployed, receiving an eligible benefit, and taking the course to help you find employment.
