The Business Support Level 3 Apprenticeship typically lasts 12-18 months, with 80% of the time spent focusing on your job role and the remaining 20% dedicated to off-the-job training. During this time, you will focus on developing the skills, knowledge and behaviours of a Business Support Assistant, working both independently and as part of a team within an organisation. Your duties will include developing, implementing and improving business services.
Completing a Business Support Apprenticeship can provide you with a strong foundation in business principles and practices. It can also give you the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various areas of business, which can be invaluable in advancing your career. Additionally, many pathways within this apprenticeship offer the opportunity to earn industry-recognised certifications or qualifications, which can help make you a more competitive candidate in the job market.
During your apprenticeship, you will have the opportunity to engage in various activities that will help you build a comprehensive portfolio of work. This portfolio will showcase your skills and expertise in a range of topics related to the qualification. You will also have the chance to plan and execute your own workplace project, which will be documented in a high-quality business report and a visually engaging PowerPoint presentation. These documents will serve as a testament to your hard work, dedication and commitment to excellence.
In addition to these hands-on experiences, all Business Support apprentices will delve into core business topics that are crucial for success in any industry. You will also have the opportunity to choose a particular pathway that best aligns with your personal interests and goals. This pathway will provide you with the opportunity to gain valuable experience in your chosen business field, as well as develop bespoke knowledge, skills and behaviours that will set you apart from other candidates in the job market.
Finally, you will be required to take a multiple-choice exam that will test your knowledge and understanding of the topics covered throughout your apprenticeship. You will also engage in a professional discussion with an external end-point assessor, who will evaluate your performance and provide your final grade.
On completion of this course you will receive a nationally recognised qualification as a Level 3 standard Business Support.
