In 2025 Gen Z (those born roughly between 1997 – 2015) represent 27% of the UK workforce and this will only increase as they complete their education and commence work. Yet despite the number of Gen Z in the workplace, they seem to be the least understood of the generations currently working, especially by those who manage them.
This workshop has two distinct aims to first understand what has influenced young people in the UK and their attitude to work and secondly, and more importantly, to highlight and discuss what practical actions can you introduce that will help and encourage them to thrive at work.
Specific objectives
Define Generation Z and how they are different from previous generations
Identify what has influenced Gen Z (12-27 years old)
Identify what impact this has had on their view of the world
Explore how this impacts their ability to integrate into the world of work
Discuss potential strategies to support Generation Z to integrate into the workplace
