This course is designed for a wide range of students who wish to gain an understanding of End of Life Care.
You will be provided with a dedicated assessor who will support and encourage you throughout your programme.
Each learner must create a portfolio of evidence which demonstrates achievement of all the learning outcomes and assessment criteria associated with each unit. You will be allocated an assessor who will support you through the learning process and assess your work, providing advice and guidance. You would be expected to complete the programme in 16 weeks.
You will study the following 6 mandatory units:
How to work in end of life care
Care planning in end of life care
The support needed to manage pain and discomfort
How dementia impacts on end of life care
The role of the care worker in time of death
The loss and grief process
On completion of this course you will receive a Level 2 Certificate in End Of Life Care from TQUK.
The course is for students working in, or intending to work in, healthcare and social care, to give knowledge and understanding of end of life care to support their role. Successful students will be able to provide support in end of life care when working in healthcare or social care roles.
