More than 8 million of the UK workforce work in the engineering economy in approximately 729, 000 engineering companies. High level technicians and professional engineers are in short supply and needed in all these companies with many in the Morecambe Bay Area and across the Northwest Region.
The HNC could be the course for you if you are
• Seeking high-level engineering technician jobs,
• Starting point for obtaining an engineering degree (needed for chartered status)
• Wanting to progress on to degree level apprenticeships
• Interested in working within the engineering industry.

You will be studying 8 units across 2, 16 weeks, terms running from September to June. Assessment will be by various methods including presentations, written assignments, and practical. Most units are tested by two assignment submissions.

Relevant A levels
All candidates will be interviewed, and relevant industrial experience will be considered in lieu of qualifications.
