This Site Safety Plus course is a popular route for anyone looking to take their first step towards obtaining a CSCS Labourers (Green) Card. This one day course can be for those who have entered, or are about to enter, the construction and civil engineering industry. The course gives candidates an awareness of health and safety and how it affects their daily role.
Upon successfully completing the course you will be awarded a CITB Site Safety Plus certificate.
- Course Overview
On this course you will cover the following topics:
Responsibilities for your own safety and the safety of others
Typical construction hazards and how these are controlled
Legal requirements and liabilities
Working at height
Manual handling
Fire prevention
Work equipment
Occupational health
This is a highly interactive course delivered by means of case studies, classroom discussion, and group work. You will be continuously assessed and required to successfully complete a multiple-choice test.
The cost of this course includes all registration/certification fees and the publication – GE 707 -Construction health and safety awareness.
- Entry Requirements
You must have a good understanding of spoken and written English. Please contact us if you have any concerns in this area. Please let us know if any candidates are under 18 as we will require a signed parental consent form.
You will need to provide Photographic ID on the first day of the course, such as a copy of your passport or driving licence.
