Leadership and management skills have a major impact on the development, productivity, and performance of organisations of all sizes and in all sectors. This is a starting point for your journey to becoming the manager and leader you want to be. This qualification is Vocationally Related Qualification (VRQ) that is aimed at emerging or accidental team leaders to support the development of knowledge and skills in leading team. By undertaking this qualification, you will be developing your skills in leading a team, achieving team and organisational objectives, and contributing to planning problem solving and decision making.

On successful completion of this course you will gain a qualification in CMI (Chartered Management Institute) Level 3 Diploma in Principles of Management and Leadership.

Course Overview

This Level 3 Team Leading course is tailored for emerging or accidental team leadersseeking to enhance their leadership abilities and understanding. It serves as an excellent opportunity to continue developing your knowledge, skills and behaviours around leadership and management.

In this course, you will undertake a CMI diploma focusing on seven key units essential for aspiring or practicing leaders. Please note that these may vary based on the employer's preferences.

  1. Managing a Team to Achieve Results

  2. Managing Individuals to be Effective in their Role

  3. Managing Own Personal and Professional Development

  4. Presenting for Success

  5. Principles of Communication in the Workplace

  6. Principles of Management and Leadership

  7. Supporting Teams and Individuals Through Change

The written word, however generated and recorded, is still expected to form the majority of assessable work produced by learners at Level 3. The amount and volume of work for this unit should be broadly comparable to a word count of 2000-2500 words within a margin of +/-10%.

Entry Requirements

To enrol onto this course you must have your line manager's authorisation and have an English BKSB assessment working towards Level 2.

Course Fees

This course costs £724.00, including exam fees.

You may be eligible for free study if you are 23 or under and this is your first full Level 2 or 3 course. Alternatively, if you are unemployed, receiving an eligible benefit, and taking the course to help you find employment.
