Delivered at a 90:10 practical to theory ratio, this Level 1 course offers a practical introduction to plastering skills. You will learn how to skim a room, board a ceiling, patch holes and cracks, and learn different plastering techniques.
Assessed by a portfolio of photographic evidence, tutor observations, practical assessments, and observations, you will gain a Level 1 certificate in Introduction into the Construction Environment upon successful completion of the course.

Dry lining
Rendering
Dry Wall adhesive
Bonding
Repairing holes/cracks
Units are selected based on industry relevance at the time of study, and are recognised by employers in the sector.

There are no formal entry requirements to this course, just a commitment to studies and an enjoyment of working with people.
Learners should provide their own safety shoes or boots and wear suitable work wear/overalls. All other equipment will be provided.
This course costs £509.00, including exam fees.
You may be eligible for free study if you are 23 or under and this is your first full Level 2 or 3 course. Alternatively, if you are unemployed, receiving an eligible benefit, and taking the course to help you find employment.
