This qualification is designed for learners looking to start work in, or already working in health and social care, who would like an understanding of care planning. This qualification aims to develop learners’ knowledge and understanding of the principles and processes of person-centred thinking, planning and review, as well as how to work with individuals to carry out activities specified in their care or support plan, including person-centred assessment, planning, implementation and review.
You will study the following 6 mandatory units:
Understanding person-centred thinking and planning
Care planning for the care worker
Understanding nutrition and hydration in health and social care settings
Principles of supporting an individual to maintain personal hygiene
Principles of supporting sleep
Each learner must create a portfolio of evidence which demonstrates achievement of all the learning outcomes and assessment criteria associated with each unit. You will be allocated an assessor who will support you through the learning process and assess your work, providing advice and guidance. You would be expected to complete the programme in 16 weeks.
On completion of this course you will receive a Level 2 Certificate in the Principles of Care Planning, from TQUK.
