This is a two-day course and is intended for those who have, or are about to acquire, supervisory responsibilities. It provides supervisors with an understanding of health, safety, welfare and environmental issues, as well as their legal responsibilities relevant to their work activities. It will highlight the requirement to promote health and safety to supervise effectively.
The SSSTS course is endorsed by Build UK as the standard training for all construction supervisors.
Upon successfully completing the course you will be awarded a CITB Site Safety Plus certificate valid for 5 years. To remain certified in this area, you will need to take a refresher course before the expiry date on your certificate, otherwise the full course will need to be retaken.

The Health and Safety at Work Act
Understanding the need for method statements and risk assessments
Construction Site Health, Safety and Welfare
Effective toolbox talks
Supervision of occupational health
Behavioural safety
This is a highly interactive course delivered by means of case studies, classroom discussion, group work and individual/group presentations. You will need to do some self-study outside of the course. You will be continuously assessed and required to successfully complete a question paper, made up of multiple choice question and short written answers
The cost of this course includes all registration/certification fees and the publications - GE 706 Construction site supervision and GT 700 Toolbox Talks.
Candidates should hold or be about to hold the role of a supervisor. Candidates must be able to read, write and understand English to a good level. Please contact us if you have any concerns in this area.
