Pursuing a career as a Team Leader is the first line management role and within your job your typical roles and responsibilities include-

Assessment

You will be building up a portfolio of evidence throughout the duration of the programme to support you when you reach the End Point Assessment (EPA) stage of the apprenticeship which involves two parts:

  • Presentation with Questions and Answers- This involves you as an apprentice preparing and delivering a presentation, providing a summary of your role as a team leader and what you do and its relevance to both your role and organisation. After the presentation you will be asked questions with regards to your presentation. The presentation will last approximately 20 minutes and the questioning will last 30 minutes.

  • Professional Discussion underpinned by a Portfolio of Evidence- This involves an independent assessor asking you at least six questions regarding your understanding of your job role in line with the standard.
