The Travel and Tourism NCFE Level 2 Certificate is designed for adults looking to embark on a rewarding career in the travel and tourism industry. This course is designed to provide you with essential skills and knowledge, with a special emphasis on engaging with host communities and exploring the richness of UK coastal tourism. Learn the significance of sustainable tourism practices that support and uplift local communities, as well as discover how to create authentic travel experiences that respect and enhance the cultural and economic fabric of host destinations. Delve into the unique charm of the UK's coastal regions, from picturesque seaside towns to hidden coastal treasures, you'll gain insights into promoting and preserving these stunning destinations, ensuring they remain attractive to tourists for generations to come.

Course Overview

There are four units to complete for this qualification which will run across the full year including:

  • Customer Service in Travel and Tourism

  • The UK Travel and Tourism Industry

  • Impact of Travel and Tourism Provision on a Host Community

  • UK Coastal Tourism

The lesson activities will be a range of individual and group activities which will require a range of skills. This could be presentations, discussion, leaflets and posters as well as verbal assessments.

This qualification is mainly made up of a range of written assessment tasks that will be made relevant for the units.

There will be some home study required, and you will need to complete assessments in your own time, approximately 1 hour per week.

Guest speakers will be invited to enhance the course and speak on relevant subjects.

Entry Requirements

There is no formal entry criteria for this course, just a commitment to your studies, enjoy working with people, be able to work independently and as part of a team and have a proven interest in the vocational area.

Course Fees

This course costs £453.50, including exam fees.

You may be eligible for free study if you are 23 or under and this is your first full Level 2 or 3 course. Alternatively, if you are unemployed, receiving an eligible benefit, and taking the course to help you find employment.
