This Level 2 qualification course has been designed to provide learners with a comprehensive overview of retrofit activities. During the course, you will learn the key aspects required to ensure a successful retrofit project, including the information used, health and safety considerations, resource management, risk assessment, contractual requirements, and the intricate processes involved.
This 2-day course is delivered face to face at Lancaster and Morecambe College and is fully funded, further more we have attendance grants of £100 per day available for SME’s with fewer than 250 employees (must be based in the Lancaster District, evidenced by employer postcode).
You will be required to complete 3 units that will provide you with:
The knowledge of why retrofit is so important to environmental sustainability
What retrofit is including the principles, standards, regulations, roles and materials
Installation processes
On successful completion of this course, you will possess a solid foundation in the fundamentals of retrofitting, empowering you to contribute effectively to any retrofit project.
Who Is This Course For?
This course is beneficial for individuals working in various trades such as plastering, joinery, carpentry, rendering, heat pump installation, and solar panel installation. It is also suitable for professionals in the fields of retrofit advising, retrofit assessing, retrofit coordinating, and retrofit designing.

This course costs £0.00, including exam fees.
You may be eligible for free study if you are 23 or under and this is your first full Level 2 or 3 course. Alternatively, if you are unemployed, receiving an eligible benefit, and taking the course to help you find employment.
