This Level 3 course is designed for learners with a good understanding of mental health, who may have already completed Level 2 qualification in mental health or be working in mental health services.
The course will help you gain an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of mental health.
This 25-week course is hosted online on our Equal platform where you will study the following units:
Understanding the context of mental health and wellbeing
Promotion of mental health and wellbeing
Mental health problems, associated issues and consequences
Understanding mental health
Working in mental health
During this course you will be assessed through online assessments. You will be allocated a subject specialist assessor who will guide you during your course duration and provide feedback on your work.
Upon course completion, you may choose to complete another health-related course. The College currently offers several health-related Distance Learning courses, including:
Self-Harm & Suicide Awareness & Prevention – Level 2
Understanding Children & Young People’s Mental Health – Level 2
Understanding Nutrition & Health - Level 2
Understanding Behaviour that Challenges – Level 2
As this is a National Skills Offer course, certain funding criteria applies and this must be your first Level 3 qualification.
In addition, you must be motivated, able to work independently and be prepared to meet submission dates.
Before enrolling you will need to complete a Maths and English assessment.
