Supported Internship Open Evening

What is it?

Our Supported Internship Open Evening is a chance for parents and carers to find out more about our life changing employment programme for young people with learning disabilities or autism.

The Supported Internship course is an innovative course which offers young people (18-24) with an Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP) the opportunity to transition from education into employment, by offering a range of supported work placements at the RLI in Lancaster.

Alongside the work experience, learners take part in employability training sessions and develop independence and life skills.

• Full-time supported internship
• Three 10-week rotations across the Hospital
• Employability curriculum delivered from the workplace
• Combination of tutors and trained job coach support
• Real-Work environment away from the College
