The National Skills Fund is a new government initiative which aims to help adults train and gain valuable vocational skills, by removing the age constraints and financial barriers for those who have not yet gained a Level 3 qualification*.
Adult learners will be able to access fully funded courses that will boost their career, increasing their opportunities to gain promotion and career progression within their current workplace, or allowing them to retrain for a new career.
The eligible courses offer progression within specific industries and address skills required for the local and national labour markets.
Nationally the new initiative will commence on 1 April 2021 and LMC is pleased to be able to offer a number of qualifications, mainly focusing on the Health & Social Care sector, with further opportunities being developed to commence in September 2021.
These courses are fully-funded (based upon specific eligibility criteria*) and many of them are available via distance learning, allowing adult learners to fit their study around their work and home commitments.
*You will NOT be eligible to access these fully funded programmes if you already have any of the following qualifications:
However, retraining opportunities may still be available but through an Advanced Learning Loan or, if you are currently employed within the relevant industry through an apprenticeship.
