Lancaster & Morecambe College (LMC) is pleased to be involved in discussions with Morecambe Road School, about the establishment of a dedicated Key Stage 4 (KS4) satellite provision for pupils on the College campus.
The School is proposing to increase the number of places available to children and young people with Generic Learning Difficulties and LMC, which has strong links with the school, is keen to support pupils with their transition into post-16 education; the new campus base will give KS4 pupils the opportunity to spend time familiarising themselves with the College and to learn about vocational progression options.
Lancashire County Council are undertaking a consultation on the proposed expansion of the School. Information is published on the Morecambe Road School website regarding the Proposal for an increase in school numbers at Morecambe Road School, the redesignation of the school's special educational needs type and a Key Stage 4 satellite provision at Lancaster and Morecambe College..
There is a formal consultation ongoing from Friday 13 May to Thursday 16 June, and a meeting has been arranged to take place at Morecambe Road School on Thursday 9 June where a representative from Lancashire County Council will attend to provide further information and answer any questions you may have.
