NEW Health Training Ward Opened for T Level Studies

Posted: 07.03.2023

Last month Ray Olive, first appointed Chair of the National T-Level Ambassador Network, visited the LMC campus and officially opened our new Health Training Ward and met with some of our Health & Social Care learners. The ward, which is a mirror image of a working NHS hospital ward, boasts a wide range of the latest high-tech equipment, including cardiovascular machines, blood pressure monitors and realistic mannequins, allowing the students to develop crucial skills.

"This amazing facility will provide students with a realistic place to practice key skills and demonstrate their knowledge, which they will then be able to put to use in the workplace",

Ray Olive.

The T Level in Health is a Level 3, 2 year programme which is suitable for anyone wanting a career in health or healthcare. The course is equivalent to 3 A Levels and the qualification provides students with the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to progress into skilled employment or higher-level technical training or study in the health sector. T Levels offer a blend of classroom based learning and real work experience, giving you a head start into the world of work. We are supporting our future workforce to develop the skills, technical knowledge and behaviours that employers look for and inspiring a generation of talent to fill those skill gaps within the industry.
