WHAT'S ON OFFER?

Student Ambassadors

Student Ambassadors will assist the College with internal & external promotional events throughout the year, providing the student perspective of life at LMC, interacting with prospective learners and promoting the College as a whole.  

Here are just some of the activities you could be involved in: 

  • Open Evenings 
  • School Visits 
  • Community Visits 
  • Campus Tours 
  • Taster Days 
  • Market Research 
  • Promotional Material Planning  
  • Social Media Planning 

As a student ambassador, there may be opportunities for paid work.

Class Reps

We value student involvement in helping to shape the LMC Community, so being a Class Rep is an important opportunity to represent your classmates, by sharing their experiences & voicing their opinions on College-related topics.  

How to become a Class Rep: 

  • Students in their second year of a two-year course can be a Class Rep (should they wish to) 
  • Tutor referral (you tutor may put you forward if you are happy to take on the role/responsibility).  
  • Classes can vote for their Class Rep! 

Class Rep responsibilities: 

  • Relevant training in becoming a Class Rep  
  • Mental Health Champion training 
  • Delivering Class Rep discussions 
  • Attending two Student Voice Conferences throughout the academic year

Briony

Briony is the Careers, Information, Advice & Guidance Coordinator in The Hex, focused on providing progression and career information via one-to-ones with students looking to explore their options. 

Briony is our Class Rep Lead and the Head Chair of the bi-annual Student Conferences.

Armani is our NEW Youth Social Action Officer taking care of all of Student Voice, Volunteering and events with LMC in the community.
