Nurturing the future veterinary surgeons and nurses is an incredibly important aspect of the profession and this starts at a young age when completing work experience. The majority of the staff we employ today started at the practice as work experience students, therefore, we see the value of work experience to invest in the future of veterinary medicine.
The process of taking on work experience students was straightforward and Lancaster & Morecambe College have been supportive throughout and as employers we would highly recommend being part of the work experience scheme as it gives you access to a new network of talent when looking to expand your business or employ new staff.
Making sure to fully immerse the students into the working day whilst offering clear guidance allows for the maximum mutual benefit to the student and the employer.
